Antique Georgian 14k and Silver Set Rosecut Diamond Cluster Ring
Details: We love a cluster ring and, wow, this one is a stunner. This Georgian ring features nine silver-set rosecut foiled diamonds and a 14k yellow gold band. The ring lays low on the hand and the diamonds are hand-cut and more primitively set. No two stones are the same in cut, color or clarity and this ring has a rustic beauty and uneven brilliance that we adore. The Georgian pieces are very rare and covetable and this ring is a true treasure.
Measurements: This ring is a 6 and can be sized. The largest center diamond is about 0.65ct. and slightly oval in shape. The surrounding diamonds are about 0.20ct. each. In order to preserve the original condition of the ring, stones have not been removed from their setting. All diamond weights have been made using measurement formulas and comparison.
Origin: English, circa 1800’s.
Condition and Care: This beautiful ring has age appropriate wear, but is in very good antique condition. The shank is probably an early 20th century edition with no hallmarks. Georgian jewelry was designed to reflect candlelight and the ring setting contains foil behind the stones that can rust with prolonged submersion in water. As with any piece this old you want to be careful not to wear it too hard and to take it off for heavy labor.
Notes: If you would like the ring sized please include the size in the notes column at checkout and allow an additional seven business days. Depending on the work, extra timing or fees may be assessed and we will contact you. Once sized the ring is a final sale but repairs or adjustments can be made.
