Antique Victorian 18k Band with Three Diamonds
Description: A very fine and heavy 18k yellow gold, Victorian ring. The rich 18k bloomed band is gypsy set (flush set) with a transitional cut white diamond in the center and two European cut side diamonds. This ring sits low on the hand and has a slightly flattened face. This ring has a beautiful, quiet strength to it's classic design.
Technique: Blooming was an acid bath process done generally to 18k gold to remove all the impurities from the top layer of the metal, leaving a beautiful matte surface of pure gold.
Origin: English, c. 1867. 18k, crown (England) and lion (London) hallmarks. Maker's mark MS.
Measurements: Size 9 and can be sized. It is 7mm tall at front and tapers down to 2mm tall at back for comfort.
