Antique Etruscan Revival 15-18k Turquoise Locket Pendant
Details: This is a charming locket with elegantly executed gold wire and granulation detailing at the frame. At center are seven robin's egg blue, cabochon turquoise stones in a floral pattern. At back, is a glass enclosed locket compartment.
The Etruscan and Greek periods of the 7th-3rd century were revered and resurrected in the Etruscan revival aesthetic. When Roman and Greek ruins were discovered in the late 1800's, a revival in the Etruscan style swept everything from jewelry to architecture.
