Antique Victorian Coral, Pearl & Chalcedony Locket Pendant
Details: This is such a beautiful locket featuring a central chalcedony cabochon stone with a double recessed frame - the first of pearls and the second of cabochon coral. Lovely yellow gold frames separate each section of the locket - giving it a beautiful depth and warmth - the outermost frame is scalloped. The combination of the opaque and softly lilac chalcedony, the pearls, and the coral is so beautiful and visually interesting.
At the back is a frame with a glass lens where a small picture can be kept and viewed.
Measurements: Approximately 1" in diameter.
Origin: English, c. 1870's.
