Details: This lovely little 18k early Victorian locket is rendered in sublime navy blue guilloche enamel reminiscent of the night sky. The locket is adorned with an old mine-cut diamond cluster placed in the center of the locket. The backside - visible below - has a single glass frame which currently holds a piece of fabric but would be ideal for a photo or other sentimental memento. This locket is quite charming and lovely little treasure.

Guilloche is a thick, glassy, shear enamel over a decorative technique in which a very precise, intricate and repetitive pattern is mechanically engraved into an underlying material via an engine turning technique.

Measurements: The diameter is about 3/4". The total weight is 4.8g.

Origin: European, c. 1850's.

Notes: Chain is sold separately.
