Details: This big, beautiful, silver locket is exceptional in its perfect preservation. Inside, the frames and glass are pristine for its age, no dents or chips mar its surface, which is amazing for the 150 years it has been on this earth. But it is also a time capsule in another way, a proclamation of pure, true love in the most beautiful symbolic language of the Victorians: Floriography.

Nature lends its subtle grace for words dared not spoken in a time of restraint. Flowers were a way to proudly display your feelings. Nosegays and corsages were never just bouquets of pretty flowers, they told the world how you felt. The white rose here, paired with forget-me-nots, tells of deep, permanent, and pure love. The size of the locket also indicate no modesty needed to tell the world of you love!

Measurements:  This locket drops 3" from top of the bale and 1.75" across, weighing 44.6g

Origin: Victorian, England, c. 1880's

Notes: Aesthetic Movement Chain and Marla Aaron Silver Regular Lock are sold separately.
