Details: This spectacular Victorian-era agate specimen bracelet, set in warm 12k gold, draws you in for closer look. The seven Scottish agate plaques feature beautiful and collectable portrait cuts with bevelled edges. This allows the stones to reveal a variety of striking colors, patterns, and striations.

The white agate is semi-translucent milk chalcedony, a beautiful and quite distinct color of chalcedony, unique to the Eastern shores of Scotland and the Isle of Mull. The rich orange of the jasper here is also quite striking and famous locations like the Campsie Fells, Montrose, and the Fife coast yield stones rich in iron ore and hematite. These minerals give the stone it's iconic deep red /orange hue. Last the bloodstone in this bracelet is also stunning,  displaying quite a bit of jasper in the green of the bloodstone. Currently the majority of the bloodstone mined today is only dark green with virtually no jasper swirls or flecks.

Each unique agate sits in a clean gold frame and offers up the incredible beauty and contrast of the natural world. The clever tongue and box clasp is hidden behind a stone, allowing for the bracelet to appear continuous, while the open backed settings allow light to play through.

This is one of the most striking and collectable agate bracelets we have ever seen!

Measurements: Each stone in its setting measures 1.12" by just over .6" wide. Total length is 7".

Origin: English, c. 1870's.
